Global Scientific Fields in Genetics & Molecular Biology

Genetics deals with the gross structure, organization, replication, recombination, functional regulation and transmission of heritable information in the biological organisms and also includes studies on the environmental factors affecting the genetic composition and evolution of biological organisms. Studies in genetics range from basic molecular genetics to large scale genomics at organism level. Molecular biology focuses on immunology, microbiology, genetics and cellular and sub-cellular biology. Studies on deciphering the structure and function of genetic materials, proteins and other metabolically active biochemical entities forms the fundamentals of genetic & molecular biology which find immense relevance in effective and accurate treatment of disease, increased crop production to meet the demands. Genetic engineering is the latest evolutionary product of the field which focuses on construction of genetically modified organisms.

Molecular Enhancers Top Open Access Journals

Microbial Genetics Open Access Articles

Genetics is the science of heredity and genetic information in a cell. Genetic information pasess from cell to cell as well as from genereation to generation. Genetic information is stored in the form of either DNA or RNA in all the lining organis ...

Alopecia And Microinflammation Peer Review Journals

Alopecia areata is known as a “polygenic disease.” This means that, unlike a single-gene disease, both parents must contribute a number of specific genes in order for a child to develop it ...

Induced Pluoripotent Stem Cells

In 2006, researchers at Kyoto University in Japan identified conditions that would allow specialized adult cells to be genetically "reprogrammed" to assume a stem cell-like state. These adult cells, called induced pluripotent stem c ...

DNA Microarray

DNA may contribute to a certain disease. However, it can be very difficult to develop a test to detect these mutations, because most large genes have many regions where mutations can occur. For example, researchers believe that mutations in the ge ...
