Global Scientific Fields in Bioinformatics & Systems Biology

Bioinformatics and the system biology are related terms and are interdisciplinary in nature. While bioinformatics involves documentation of the functioning of the molecular biology and genetics using computational techniques and mathematics, systems biology employs computational and mathematical models in analyzing the complex interactions taking place within the biological systems in a holistic manner. Systems biology basically engages biological research, which is essential for understanding the biological functions, drug discovery, and proper delivery of the same when the biological systems encounter any trouble. Bioinformatics incorporates and applies the theoretical and practical knowledge of statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering and biology and allows in silico analysis of biological data and computerised interpretation of that data for future applications. On the other hand systems biology utilises the persisting knowledge on functioning of signalling pathways, metabolic networks and genetic sequences for the furtherance of scientific research and application.

Simulation - Review Articles

Simulations (and models, too) are abstractions of reality. Often they deliberately emphasize one part of reality at the expense of other parts. Sometimes this is necessary due to computer power limitations.A simulator is a device that may use any ...

Simulation - High Impact Factor Journals

Recreations (and models, as well) are reflections of the real world. Regularly they intentionally underscore one piece of reality to the detriment of different parts. Here and there this is important because of PC power confinements. Once in a whi ...

Ambient Intelligence

In computing, ambient intelligence (AmI) refers to electronic environments that are sensitive and responsive to the presence of people. Ambient intelligence was a projection on the future of consumer electronics, telecommunications and computing t ...

Reverse Online Algorithm

We present a novel decentralized and infrastructure-less algorithm to alleviate traffic congestions on road networks and to fill the void left by current algorithms which are either static, centralized, or require infrastructure. The algorithm fol ...

Genetic Algorithm

Genetic algorithms (GAs) are a heuristic search and optimization technique inspired by natural evolution. They have been successfully applied to a wide range of real-world problems of significant complexity. This paper is intended as an introducti ...

Ant Colony Optimization

Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) is a Swarm Intelligence technique which inspired from the foraging behaviour of real ant colonies. The ants deposit pheromone on the ground in order to mark the route for identification of their routes from ...

Scientific Articles On Bioinformatics

Bioinformatics is the application of computer technology to the management of biological information. Computers are used to gather, store, analyze and integrate biological and genetic information which can then be applied to gene-based drug discov ...
