The Vascular system is a network consisting of blood vessels, heart and the blood. The network provides tissues in the body with nutrients and oxygen, removes unnecessary waste products. Vascular disease is any abnormal condition of the arteries and veins (blood vessels). The body uses blood vessels to circulate blood. Problems along this huge network can cause serious disorders and death. Vascular diseases can occur at any time in anyone affecting men and women equally. Vascular disease most commonly occurs in blood flow, such as when the blood flow in the arteries changes direction abruptly.
