Newer imaging modalities enable radiologists and treating physicians to diagnose tuberculous meningitis (TBM) with a reasonable degree of certainty at an early stage, thereby enabling the initiation of an early treatment for TBM. All these imaging findings are in congruence with the findings lucidly described in the gross pathology by Professor Dastur and his colleagues. This article discusses how this article revolutionized our understanding of TBM and its relevance in the modern era.
