The medical doctors who specialize in the eye care of children called pediatric ophthalmologist. Pediatric ophthalmologists perform complex eye surgeries as well as manage children's eye problems using glasses and medications. Pediatric endocrinologist treats children from birth to adolescence.
Paediatric ophthalmology includes an extensive range of pediatric eye problems such as congenital corneal opacities, cataract, pediatric glaucoma etc. Another common disease found in children are amblyopia or lazy eyes, squint, double vision and other disorders of eye alignment.
