Cytopathology is a branch of science that studies and diagnoses diseases at the cellular level. Cytopathologic tests are sometimes called smear tests because the samples may be smeared across a glass microscope slide for subsequent staining and microscopic examination. free cells or tissue fragments are commonly used samples. It is usually used in the diagnosis of cancer, certain infectious diseases and other inflammatory conditions. Journal of Cytology and Histology is an open access and academic journal which aspires to disseminate most comprehensive and authentic information on the innovations and current developments in all the areas of cytology and histology. The journal encourages communication of research outcomes pertaining to structural, functional as well as regulatory aspects of cells, most importantly, the cytology of cancerous and inflammatory cells. Journal of Cytology & Histology has wide coverage and articulates peer-reviewed content on but not limited to cellular physiology & anatomy of cells, tissues and organ systems as well as laboratory clinical specimen preparation & microscopic sample analysis. The journal also publishes advanced studies in histopathology and cytology.
