The Human Genome Project Open Access Journals

Human Genome Project (HGP), an international collaboration that successfully determined, stored, and rendered publicly available the sequences of almost all the genetic content of the chromosomes of the human organism, otherwise known as the human genome. The broad scope of the journal encompasses the basic and applied concepts and technologies involved in the study RNA and gene function, including but limited to, the of structure and function of RNA, including mRNA, tRNA, rRNA and ribozymes, RNA editing, RNA chemistry, non-coding RNAs, siRNAs, miRNAs, transcriptomics, genome editing, genome analysis, functional genomics, epigenomics and RNA seq/whole genome sequencing, microarray analysis and computational genomics. The journal will also consider manuscript on traditional genome modulation technologies, such as antisense oligonucleotides and functional DNAs, such as deoxyribozymes.

Plant pathogens cause serious crop losses worldwide. Recent new studies demonstrate that spraying double-stranded RNAs (dsRNAs) and small RNAs (sRNAs) that target essential pathogen genes on plant surfaces confer efficient crop protection. This so-called spray-induced gene silencing (SIGS) strategy of disease control is potentially sustainable and environmentally friendly.
