Shoot cultures are the most common micropropagation methods. Shoot cultures can be regenerate plantlets by either axillary or adventitious methods. Axillary shoots come from buds formed at each node.Adventitous shoots arise from callus, or plant pieces lacking a node such as leaf discs or flower stems.
