Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) or Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are infections caused by viruses, bacteria and paasites which are transmitted through sexual contact. Some examples of STDs include Chlamydia (a very common STD caused by a bacterial infection), Genital Warts (growths on the genital area and around the anus), Gonorrhea (a common STD caused by a bacterial infection), Hepatitis B, Herpes, HIV & Acquired immune deficinency syndrome (AIDS), HPV (Human Papillomavirus) and Molluscum Contagiosum. Treatment is available for most of the STDs specially in early stages. STDs can leads to complications if let untreated.
