Violence outside of state control that is politically motivated, some political scientists see political violence as part of contentious politics or collective political struggle, which includes such things as revolutions, civil war, riots and strikes, but also more peaceful protest movements, is called as Political Violence. Political violence can take a number of forms including but not limited to those listed below. Non-action on the part of the government can also be characterized as a form of political violence. Scholarly peer review is the process of subjecting an author's scholarly work, research, or ideas to the scrutiny of others who are experts in the same field, before a paper describing this work is published in a journal. The work may be accepted, considered acceptable with revisions, or rejected. Peer review requires a community of experts in a given (narrowly defined) field, who are qualified and able to perform reasonably impartial review.
