Scholarly peer review is the process of subjecting an author's scholarly work, research, or ideas to the scrutiny of others who are experts in the same field, before a paper describing this work is published in a journal. The work may be accepted, considered acceptable with revisions, or rejected. Peer review requires a community of experts in a given (narrowly defined) field, who are qualified and able to perform reasonably impartial review. The study of Cytology of the Nervous system is known as Neurocytology. It primarily focusses on the Nervous System tissue, Neurons (Parenchymal Cells), and the Glia (Stromal or Supporting Cells). It helps in analysing the neuroinfections, by studying the dendrites, nucleus, organelles and the supporting cells normal and abnormal neuron functioning. Abnormal neural communication results in various abnormalities, thus neurocytology provides us a way to study the cause and the therapy for the same.
