Rectum is the closing piece of the internal organ that ends in the rear-end. The normal length of the human rectum may extend somewhere in the range of 10 and 15 cm. Its distance across can be contrasted with that of the sigmoid colon (the piece of the digestive organ closest the rectum) at its beginning.
