Power electronics is the application of solid-state electronics to the control and conversion of electric power. In modern systems, the conversion is performed with semiconductor switching devices such as diodes, thyristors, and power transistors such as the power MOSFET and IGBT.Power electronics is one of the dynamic technologies, which is an application of convert and control of electrical power. Power electronics research has been transformed from developed countries to developing countries. The recent advances of power electronics is renewable energy sources. Applications of power electronics range in size from a switched mode power supply in an AC adapter, battery chargers, fluorescent lamp ballasts, through variable frequency drives and DC motor drives used to operate pumps, fans, and manufacturing machinery, up to gigawatt-scale high voltage direct current power transmission systems used to interconnect electrical grids. Power electronic systems are found in virtually every electronic device. A journal is a periodical publication intended to further progress of science, usually by reporting new research. Most journals are highly specialized, although some of the oldest journals publish articles, reviews, editorials, short communications, letters, and scientific papers across a wide range of scientific fields.
