Orthopaedic is the branch of medical science that studies the malignant osteoid, multilocular tumour of bone, Chondrosarcoma, Chordoma, Osteosarcoma, Ewing's sarcoma, Metastatic bone cancer, Adamantinoma, Osteonecrosis, Primary bone tumours, Osseous and chondromatous neoplasia, Tumours of bone, Secondary bone tumours, Primary bone tumours, Enchondroma, Aneurysmal bone cyst, Giant cell tumour of bone, Cryosurgery, Osteoma, Fibrous dysplasia of bone, Osteochondrodysplasic, Osseocartilaginous exostoses.Osteonecrosis bespeaks bone death. Synonyms include aseptic necrosis, bone necrosis, avascular necrosis, bone infarction and ischemic necrosis. By convention, the terms “aseptic” or “avascular” necrosis have been applied to areas of juxtaarticular involvement and the term bone infarct is usually applied to metaphyseal or diaphyseal involvement. However, this terminology is not applied consistently throughout the literature, and I feel that these are largely artificial distinctions. I prefer to simply use the single term ‘osteonecrosis’ and to apply it to areas of bone infarction, no matter where in the bone they occur. The Journal of Orthopaedic offers information in all aspects of primary, malignant tumours. Osteosarcoma, Ewing's sarcoma, chondrosarcoma, chordoma, and soft tissue sarcomas etc it also deals with diagnostic methods, therapeutic approaches, clinical, laboratory research and reconstructive techniques. The Journal includes a wide range of fields in its discipline to create a platform for the authors to make their contribution towards the journal and the editorial office promises a peer review process for the submitted manuscripts for the quality of publishing.
