The study of Cytology of the Nervous system is known as Neurocytology. It importantly focusses on the Nervous System tissue, Neurons (Parenchymal Cells), and the Glia (Stromal or Supporting Cells). It helps in analysing the neuroinfections, by studying the dendrites, nucleus, organelles and the supporting cells normal and abnormal neuron functioning. Abnormal neural communication results in various abnormalities, thus neurocytology provides us a way to study the cause and the therapy for the same.
