Investigations of the biomechanical behaviour of hard tissues are of great significance in investigation, design and improvement of biomaterials for teeth annexes. Success of prosthetic treatment is primarily determined by biomechanical compatibility of the designs with the tissues. The reason is that the tissues are not merely a material, but a composite biological system whose reaction to denture masticatory stress is not sufficiently described in the classical theory of elasticity. Peer review refers to the work done during the screening of submitted manuscripts and funding applications. This process encourages authors to meet the accepted standards of their discipline and reduces the dissemination of irrelevant findings, unwarranted claims, unacceptable interpretations, and personal views. Publications that have not undergone peer review are likely to be regarded with suspicion by academic scholars and professionals.
