Low Back Pain Among Drivers

Low Back Pain Among Drivers

The prevalence of low back pain was high in professional taxi drivers in China. Night shift, increasing work years and longer daily driving duration were significant predictors for drivers’ low back pain. Increasing drivers’ awareness of sleep duration, rest days and physical activity would help to achieve primary prevention. Low back pain (LBP) is a common occupational problem for drivers all over the world. However, few epidemiological studies have investigated LBP among taxi drivers. Aims: To investigate the prevalence of LBP and associated work-related factors among Chinese taxi drivers. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was administered to all participants.
