Spreading information and mindfulness about HIV is one of the key systems used in the counteraction and control of HIV/AIDS around the world. Deficient information and dangerous practices are significant deterrents in forestalling the spread of HIV.A cross-sectional study was conducted in a convenience sample of 346 students in 8 randomly selected high schools in 3 governorates of Kuwait, using a questionnaire designed to measure the student's knowledge and attitude towards HIV/AIDS. The survey questionnaire was administered to the students in their classrooms.The main source of information was the television; knowledge about the difference between HIV/AIDS was satisfactory. The findings showed that the knowledge about modes of prevention (blood checkup, needle/syringe sterilization) was satisfactory. There were several misconceptions about the modes of transmission of the disease, such as through mosquito bites, eating/drinking,This study provides a benchmark for further elaborate studies in the community to develop appropriate health education and awareness programs.Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is a major health problem worldwide.
