Kinetics study of thermal degradation of polymers is crucial to understand the degradation process in detail and is also useful for predicting thermal stability, which could help in circumventing the undesired thermal degradation of polymeric products. Moreover, information based on kinetics studies can be applied to develop pyrolysis reactors for the thermal treatment of solid polymer wastes. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) is the most common analytical method used to study the kinetics of polymer degradations, and it involves evaluation of the activation energy of the thermal degradation of polymers. The activation energy is usually obtained by fitting kinetics data to various reaction models, which provide Arrhenius parameters (Peterson et al., 2001). The computations should be carried out with experimental data obtained from different heating rates (nonisothermal) or temperatures (isothermal). Kinetic studies on EET processes can focus on two main objectives: one that involves measuring the electron transfer rates of purified proteins (an in vitro approach) and another which involves measuring the electron transfer processes in living organisms
