The technique in analytical chemistry used to separate, identify and quantify all the components in the mixture is known as High-performance liquid chromatography. The process utilizes a pump to pass pressurized liquid and sample mixture through a column of sorbent. The different components of the mixture interacts differently with the adsorbent material leading to different flow rate of each component causing their separation, as they flow out of column.
