Free Data Mining In Proteomics Journals

Proteomics is the study of proteins which are essential parts of living organisms, having several functions. The proteome is referred to the entire set of proteins that is produced or modified by an organism or system. Proteomics has made possible the identification of ever increasing numbers of protein. This varies with time and distinct requirements, or stresses, that a cell or organism undergoes. Proteomics is an interdisciplinary domain that has benefitted hugely from the genetic information of various genome projects, including the Human Genome Project.

Data mining is the method of finding patterns in large data sets involving methods at the intersection of machine learning, statistics and database systems. It is the process of extracting potentially useful information from huge amount of data. It uses a group of methods to organise, examine and combine large data sets, including machine learning, visualisation methods and statistical analyses. Data mining is used in computational biology and bioinformatics to discover trends or patterns without knowledge of the meaning of the data. It is an interdisciplinary subfield of computer science and statistics with a common goal to mine useful information from a data set through intelligent methods and to transform the information into a understandable format for further use
