Electrical engineers design, develop, test and supervise the manufacturing of electrical equipment, such as electric motors, radar and navigation systems, and communications systems and power generation equipment, states the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Electrical engineering is a mixture of teaching and research activities relating to both electronics and electrical engineering. The Department has a healthy mix of young and experienced teachers, all of whom display a high level of enthusiasm and dedication. In addition to teaching and research, the faculties actively participate in the organization of technical workshops, camps and visits to the Institute in order to create an environment conducive to experiential learning. The research areas of current doctoral students include image processing, optical sensors, VLSI, power electronics and renewable energy sources. Each year, several of our B. Tech. and doctoral students carry out summer internships in renowned university institutes and industries. About 20% of these internships take place in foreign universities. The Department is very well supported by qualified personnel who contribute to the proper functioning of laboratories and other administrative activities. A journal is a periodic publication intended to advance science, usually by reporting new research. Most journals are highly specialized, although some of the older journals publish articles, reviews, editorials, short communications, letters and scientific articles in a wide range of scientific fields. The journals contain peer-reviewed articles to ensure that the articles meet the quality and scientific validity standards of the journal. Each of these review articles is part of the permanent scientific dossier.
