Corporate governance is the combination of rules, processes or laws by which businesses are operated, regulated or controlled. The term encompasses the internal and external factors that affect the interests of a company's stakeholders, including shareholders, customers, suppliers, government regulators and management.Corporate governance ensures transparency which ensures strong and balance economic development. This is also ensures that the interest of all shareholders (Majority as well as minority shareholder) are safeguard. Corporate governance affects the operational risk and, hence, sustainability of a corporation.Good corporate governance means that the processes of disclosure and transparency are followed so as to provide regulators and shareholders as well as the general public with precise and accurate information about the financial, operational and other aspects of the company.The basic purpose of corporate governance is to monitor those parties within a company which control the resources owned by investors. The primary objective of sound corporate governance is to contribute to improved corporate performance and accountability in creating long-term shareholder value.
