Clinical Case Reports is different to other case report journals. Our aim is to directly improve global health and share clinical knowledge using case reports to convey important best practice messages. We welcome case reports from all areas of Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, and Veterinary Science and may include any clinical case or procedure which illustrates an important best practice teaching message and any clinical case or procedure which illustrates the appropriate use of an important clinical guideline or systematic review.
Our case reports do not have to be novel, unusual, or challenging, and they do not have to be surprising. They simply have to convey an important teaching point about a common or important clinical scenario. Scenarios involving the appropriate use of a clinical guideline or systematic review are particularly important to us. Clinical Case Reports is an open access journal with a comprehensive peer review policy, and a very rapid publication process. We guarantee that Clinical Case Reports will publish all high quality original case reports meeting our submission guidelines which have an important, practical, and generalisable teaching message.
