A catalytic triad is commonly referred to three amino acids that function together at the active site of certain hydrolase and transferase enzyme. A common way to reproduce a nucleophillic residue for covalent catalysis is by using an Acid-Base-ncleophile triad. A journal is a periodical publication intended to further progress of science, usually by reporting new research. Most journals are highly specialized, although some of the oldest journals publish articles, reviews, editorials, short communications, letters, and scientific papers across a wide range of scientific fields.
