Carotovorum

carotovorum, a gram-negative bacterium with rod-shaped cells, is globally widespread and attacks a wide range of plants, notably various vegetables. It is reported in tomato crops on all continents. In wet weather in the field, it can cause damage to the stem and/or fruits.
