A Cesarean section (C-section) is surgery to deliver a baby. It is a surgical technique involved to deliver one or more babies when women happened to face unexpected problems during delivery. C-sections are commonly seen among women delivering more than one baby. Indeed, this surgery is relatively safe for mother and baby but it is still a major surgery which carries risks. It also takes longer time than usual delivery to recover from a C-section than from vaginal birth. A caesarean section is usually carried out under regional anaesthetic, where the lower part of your body is numbed. It usually takes 30-45 minutes.
