The main goal of Women’s University in Africa (WUA) Capacity Building Project is to improve the performance of WUA so that it can become a centre of world-class University with academic programs enabling women of all ages in general and adult women in particular to exploit their potential in Africa’s development process.
WUA received a USD2,5 million grant over a period of four years from the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF). The project, which became effective in July 2007 is now in its 4th and final year of operation. In preparation for the second phase of this project a joint Mid Term Review (MTR) by the University and ACBF was completed in December 2010. Through the implementation of this project the overall teaching, learning and research environment has been enhanced thus making WUA a university of choice.
