The University of South Africa is a public open distance learning type University and was established on 26 June 1873.It is the largest university on the African continent consists of 328,179 students enrolled in 2011 from South Africa, and other international states and 5,575 staff members. Initially it was named as University of the Cape of Good Hope. University offers both vocational and academic programs. Market research has shown that University of South Africa is rated as one of the top universities in South Africa. Judge Bernard Ngoepe is the chancellor of university.
