The University of Nigeria is a federal University placed in Enugu State, Nigeria. It is established in 1960 by Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, an African legend, who is a Nigerian first president.
The University has four campuses (Nsukka Campus, Enugu Campus, Aba Campus, Itukku Ozalla Campus). The chief part of the university is placed in Nsukka. The University of Nigeria has topped 10 rank among the other Nigerian Universities and 3976 in world universities. The mission of the university is to position the University of Nigeria in the forefront of Research and development, Innovation, Knowledge Transfer and Human Resource Development in the global academic terrain.
The University has 17 faculties and 102 academic departments. The University offering graduation in three levels Subgraduation, undergraduation, Postgraduation. The University providing research in ten fields including Energy research, rural development. The University has Nnamdi Azikiwe Library holding 735,157 volumes of books and about 99,760 bound volumes of journals.  The library has growing collection of publications from The United Nations, The Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) of the United Nation, The United Nations Educational Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The University has journals in Arts, Education, Law and Medical sciences. The University has partnership with Bridgewater State University, UNESCO, MTN, Google.
