University of Hassan II, Casablanca is a public governmental university located in Aïn Chock Casablanca, Morocco and was created in 1975. There are 24,318 total students including local and foreign students. Full-time faculty teachers and professors number 1153, making it the third largest university in Morocco. Official staff total 849 persons. The library of Mohammad Sykat spans 6 floors with a total area of 7,000 m. It has 40,000 textbooks, and 20,000 electronic online
journals are available for students . 550 ancient manuscripts and 600 books, 100 newspapers and magazines have 900 chairs and 45 computer online system a total of 40 thousand people are able to use it . School of
Law Library also has 25 thousand books in the fields of
law and
political science and
economics . Arabic and French are the languages of teaching at the university . For some disciplines such as law, international
law and international relations,for students of PhD it is necessary to know both French and Arabic languages . But technical courses are offered in French only . The University is a member of the International Association of Universities . Foreign students to the university are from many countries such Senegal - Democratic republic of Congo, Congo, Mauritania,Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Mali, Yemen, Indonesia -Malaysia, France.
