University of Essex

The University of Essex is a British public research college whose unique and biggest campus is close to the town of Colchester, England. It was built in 1963 and got its Royal Charter in 1965. The colleges main campus is placed inside Wivenhoe Park in the English district of Essex, 1.6 km from the town of Wivenhoe & 2 miles (3.2 km) from the town of Colchester. Apart from the Wivenhoe Park grounds, there is an arising campus in Southend-on-Sea (Essexs biggest town), and the East 15 Acting School is situated in Loughton. The Universitys adage, Thought the harder, heart the quicker, is adjusted from the Anglo-Saxon ballad The Battle of Maldon. The college delights in communitarian associations with various organizations over the eastern district. These are University Campus Suffolk, Colchester Institute, Kaplan Open Learning (KOL), South Essex College and Writtle College.
