Jubail University College established in the year 2006 is an affiliate of the Royal Commission for Jubail & Yanbu. The university is determined to achieve the objectives of the Royal Commission which aim in developing
human resources and to provide the Saudi manpower with quality high
education and training, to make the coming generation able to manage the Kingdom`s growing
economy in its various sectors. The university is determined to contribute to the local community in Jubail Industrial City and motivate Saudi nationals to actively take part in managing the city projects. The university aims to develop well trained and qualified Saudi manpower to meet the requirements of projects and investment in Jubail Industrial City. The University wants its students to pursue excellence in higher
education through quality academic programs and research and actively engage with all stakeholders to maintain a sustainable growth of the society at large.
The college is currently offering coursed in different streams of Science, Arts,
Business administration and Engineering. Jubail University College is offering Bachelor of Arts in English Language, Bachelor of Science in
Business Administration, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Science in Interior Design (Female), Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (Male), Bachelor of Science in
Civil Engineering (Male), Bachelor of Science in
Management Information Systems. The Department of General studies, started in 2006 is one of the first departments at Jubail University College. The department has a separate Male and a Female branch. The department offers Courses in both English as well as in Arabic medium. The department of General studies delivers courses in Mathematics, Science and
Health education in English medium whereas Arabic studies, Islamic studies, Study skills, Physical
education in Arabic medium. The male branch offers 30 courses and the female branch offers 27 courses.
University of Jubail has strength of about 2500 taking and spreading education. In the
Management information sytem there are about 341 students. In
Business management 315 students are taking education. In the English language course there are about 225 students taking education. In the
computer science department 209 students are taking education. In the engineering departments there are more than 400 students taking education. In the faculty almost 51% of the staff is Non-Saudis and 49% are Saudis. De Montfort University, Leicester is an academic partner of Jubail University College.
Professor Kamal Mansour bin Aljembi, Dr. Nasser bin Suleiman Bajabaa of the mechanical engineering department, Dr. Abdulkarim bin Eid Alaloni of
computer science and engineering department, Dr. Saad bin Hashim Al Elyani of the general studies department are some prominent researchers from Jubail University College. Apart from them a large number of students and other faculty staff are actively involved in research work.
