The National University of Salta ( UNSa ) is a public university, headquartered in the city of Salta in argentine . It was founded by Law 19,633 of 1972 , as part of the Taquini plan, a program of reorganization of higher education in Argentina, leading to the foundation of those of Jujuy , La Pampa , Lomas de Zamora , Entre Rios , Luján , Misiones , Catamarca , San Juan , San Luis and Santiago del Estero. It has about 80,000 students. It has regional offices in Tartagal , San Ramón de la Nueva Oran , Rosario de la Frontera and San José de Metán as well as the central office in Salta. It is subdivided into six faculties are: • School of Economics • Faculty of Natural Sciences • Faculty of Exact Sciences • Faculty of Humanities • Faculty of Engineering • Faculty of Health Sciences. The Faculty of Economics is the most prestigious branch of this university, and stands out for its excellence in the training of accountants. The Faculty of Humanities offers a Masters Degree in Planning, Management and Strategic Evaluation of Educational Institutions. It has joint research institutes with CONICET, such as INENCO and INIQUI . Bioclimatic Hospital: In the first bioclimatic hospital of the Argentine specialists and architects of the UNSa planned an energetically efficient thermal building from the application of constructive strategies and the use of simulation software. The objective is to reduce the conventional energy consumption used in the heating of the maternal and child hospital by taking advantage of solar energy in Susques, a locality of Puna jujeña. It is the only hospital of these characteristics at an altitude of more than 3,600 meters above sea level. Maestranza in mathematics: The pedagogical proposal of teachers of the UNSa, “How the formulas happen ", was the winner of the 2nd place and main distinction of the contest "How to improve the teaching of mathematics in middle school", organized by the Association of Banks of Argentina. The results of the proposal showed that the students make a natural passage to the symbolic language and that to reach this instance it is fundamental that the learning starts from the discussion, validation and circulation of mathematical knowledge.
