Temple University is a large public university with strong
education and
healthcare academic programs, located in North Philadelphia that was founded in 1888. Temple has 125 undergraduate programs offers over 100 degree courses of study in 17 schools, 9 campuses and more than 35,000 students combine to create one of the nations most comprehensive and diverse learning environments, including the Tyler School of Art, the Fox School of
Business and Management, and a School of
Tourism and Hospitality Management. It utilizes a semester-based academic calendar. The university also has an active Greek system. Temple has campuses in Rome and Tokyo, and the Tokyo campus is the oldest and largest foreign university in Japan. Temple Universitys ranking in the 2015 edition of Best Colleges is National Universities, 121. The school’s 24 athletic teams compete at the Division I level. Its in-state tuition and fees are $14,770 (2014-15); out-of-state tuition and fees are $25,450 (2014-15).
