About academics: Degree Programmes in English: Studies at the universities of applied (UAS) sciences are practice-oriented alternatives to traditional university education in Finland. On the job training is an integral part of the studies, and includes projects done in cooperation with employers/companies in the field. All this gives students the opportunity to start integrating into working life during their studies.
