The Namik Kemal University was founded under the
administration of Trakya University rectorate Enver Duram in the year 2006. Faculty of
Agriculture was opened in 1982 and Çorlu Faculty of Engineering, founded in 1992. The University has four faculties, three institutes, ten vocational schools and a school of health, with nearly 14000 students, more than 360 academic staff and 200 administrative staff. Library is a member of national and international organizations. Concerning scientific research and projects, all faculties, vocational schools, and institutes at Namık Kemal University are coordinated by BAP (Scientific Research Project Office).
Namık Kemal University has signed cooperation protocols with 19 higher
education institutions in 11 countries, including Italy, Austria, Macedonia, USA, Greece, Bulgaria, France, Romania, Russia, Germany, and the Netherlands.
