The Pleven medical university is one of the five medical universities in Bulgaria was established in 1974, expanding the horizons, size and reputation of city hospital which was founded in 1865. Today combining the past and present possibilities it incorporates the educational and therapeutic facilities on pre-clinical basis with more than 1000 beds with clinics in all major fields and therapeutic equipment.
