Marymount University

Marymount University was established in the year 1950 by Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary (RSHM) as Marymount College. Initially it was a two-year women’s school, and a member school of Marymount colleges operated in New York and other states. In the year 1973, it became a four-year college and started master’s degree program in 1979. It even had its first doctoral degree started in the year 2004 in the department of physical therapy. The first male student was enrolled into nursing program (1972) and later in the year 1986 it was totally functionalized as coeducational organization. Marymount University, a comprehensive Catholic university enrolling students in various undergraduate and graduate degrees through various schools related to arts, sciences, business and other fields.
