Long Island University is a private, coeducational university which was established in the year 1926. It has established one of its campuses in Southampton in 1963. Long Island University has administered by a president and board of trustees. Board of trustees will play major role in electing the president. It is having two main campuses and these two main campuses are governed by a chancellor, elected by chairperson of the board of trustees. Long Island University offers educational programs at different locations which includes Brentwood and Riverhead and at its LIU Hudson sites. Universitys first permanent site is LIU Brooklyn which was established in the year 1926.
