Lincoln Memorial University is a private four-year co-educational university located on a 1,000-acre campus in Harrogate, Tennessee, United States was founded in 1897. It is a liberal arts college which has been sharing its campus borders with Cumberland Gap National Historical Park. Lincoln Memorial University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It is unique among Southern Association of Colleges (SAC) members and it does not have a football program. Lincoln Memorial University is providing rich literary by initiating the Mountain Heritage Literary Festival. It has a rural sitting by having the total undergraduate enrollment of 1,713. Athletics have been a part of Lincoln Memorial University from 1907. Lincoln Memorial University was participated first time in intercollegiate baseball game against Cumberland College in 1910. Lincoln Memorial University currently encourages the students in 14 sports. Basketball, Cross Country, Cheerleading, Golf, Soccer, Tennis, Softball and Volleyball are women games and Baseball, Cross Country, Basketball, Golf, Tennis and Soccer are men games. Fencing, track, field and tumbling are the other sports which have been offered at Lincoln Memorial University.
