The Lebanese American University was established in 1924 as a private University and research institution. It is one of the prominent and non-sectarian Universities in the Lebanon and operates under through a grant from the Board of Reagents of the University of the State of New York and is credited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. The University provides many degrees and mainly focused on the educational brilliance, student centeredness, civic engagement and the advancement of the scholarship. The vision of the University is to provide a superior education, attracting and retaining highly qualified and trained faculty, implementation of liberal arts in all curricula and advancement in research.
