Kangwon National University
Established in 1947, located in South Korea. As one of 10 flagship Korean national universities, Kangwon National University serves as the flagship educational institution of Gangwon territory. The higher
education system in Korea is undergoing the most vital phase of change & crisis in the Korean
education history, both from the international sphere and domestic arena. Started in 1947 as agricultural college and expanded to a broad university having more than 130 academic fields and over 20 colleges in three (3) campuses in 2013, KNU strives to make use of this crisis as an opportunity to prove its inbuilt quality. 2016 Renaissance KNU consists of three (3) organic parts: Restructuring, Raising-Up, and Refreshing! By the Restructuring, KNU will accept challenge and change by restructuring the academic
education systems. Under the Raising-Up, KNU will raise its competitiveness with pride by enhancing its research capability, quality of education, graduate employment rate, etc., through wide international cooperation as well as broad domestic collaborations.
Kangwon National University has introduced Korean Courses at the International Language Institute (ILI). The aim is to teach standard Korean language and to enhance the understanding of Korean culture for purposes of employment and enrollment in universities or graduate schools in Korea. They propose a system of 4 sessions per year (Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter sessions). Sufficient level assignment by means of a comprehensive placement test and full academic supervision. Culture classes: Cultural hands-on classes along with regular Korean classes. Access to the Kangwon National University Central Library and free use of various other campus facilities.
Kangwon National University is Top ranked in graduate employment for three consecutive years; it offers much lower tuitions than the other private schools.
