Institute of Advanced Research

Institute of Advanced Research is a university which was established under the “ Gujarat Private Universities”. The main aim of the Institute is to create supremacy in research and education. The Puri Foundation has established the University for education in India. Institute of Advanced Research carries out research in different areas of science for promoting a process of cause of knowledge in humans, human resource development and also applies the research results for the benefit of mankind. Puri Foundation for Education in India fully supports The Institute of Advanced Research. It is envisioned as art research center for achieving outstanding quality in science and technology. The first center of excellence which has been established is School of Biological Science and Biotechnology. The main objectives of Institute of Advanced Research are To promote scientific innovations in general and in relation to manufacturing. To act as consultants, to individuals, institutions, laboratories and other organizations and also to government bodies, for the advancement of the objectives of the Institute. Institute of Advanced Research consists of departments like Cell Biology, Human Health and Diseases, Environmental Sciences, Plant cell and Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics and Structural Biology, Medicinal Chemistry, Genetics and Developmental Biology. The Institute consists of 32 staff members specialized in School of Biological Sciences and Biotechnology, Engineering and Enterprise, Leadership and Business School. The First Statutes of the University and First Ordinances of University have been approved by the Government of Gujarat. Some of the Faculty members are like Dr. Rajani Nadgauda- Professor Emeritus in the department of Plant Cell & Molecular Biology, Dr. Ashima Bhardwaj -Associate Professor in the department of Human Health & Diseases, Dr. Anand K. Tiwari-Assistant Professor in the department of Genetics & Developmental Biology, Dr. Vijai Singh-Assistant Professor in the department of Microbiology, Dr. Satyendra Mishra-Assistant Professor in the department of Chemistry, Mr. Ramesh Chandra Goswami-Assistant Professor in the department of Computer Science, Dr. Shraddha Singh-Assistant Professor in the department of Material Science, Dr. Ritu Sahni Srivastava-Assistant Professor in the department of Mathematics, Mr. Divakar Choukekar-Assistant Professor in the department of Banking & Finance are some of the faculty member in IAR. Puri Foundation for Education in India is a philanthropic Organization setup established for development of education and research activities in India. Journals like Journal of Applied Biology and Biotechnology, Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, Molecular Neurobiology, Neural Regeneration Research, Procedia Computer Science, Internatioanl Journal of Inflammation, European Journal of Experimental Biology, Advances in Biotechnology and Allied areas, Journal of Plant Physiology are some of the journals issued from this University. Researchers like Suhashini S. Dhumale, Bhargav N. Waghela, Chandramani Pathak, Singh V., Nair D., Kaushal R. S., Kumar M are some of the researchers in Institute of Advanced Research.
