One of the largest medical research and education centers in the Midwest, HealthPartners Institute helps transform health care in our region and across the nation. As part of HealthPartners integrated care system, the Institute uses research and education to advance the Triple Aim of improving health, experience and affordability for our members, patients and community.
HealthPartners Institute conducts health services, survey-based, behavioral intervention, clinical and basic science research with collaborators within HealthPartners and around the world. Our research strengths include: Child and maternal health, Chronic disease/diabetes, Clinical research, Critical care Health economics, Mental health, Neurosciences/Alzheimers and Parkinsons disease, Oncology, Oral health/dentistry. HealthPartners Institute develops and delivers comprehensive graduate medical education, clinician and patient education programs and materials.
Our staff includes educators, writers, simulation experts, dietitians, nurses and librarians. Our education areas include: Clinical quality education, Clinical simulation, Continuing medical education, Graduate and undergraduate clinical education experiences, International Diabetes Center patient services and professional training/consulting, Maintenance of Certification, Medical and patient libraries, Nutrition visits with patients, Patient education, consultation, classes and content development.
The group operates as a nonprofit health care provider, serving 1.5 million medical and dental health plan members nationwide. U.S. News & World Report/NCQA rated HealthPartners among the top 50 best commercial health plans in the nation for four years in a row (2005–2008). HealthPartners Institute’s research priorities are based on our strengths in key areas critical to fulfilling the Triple Aim of improved health, experience and affordability. There are more than 60 researchers in HealthPartners.
