Governors State University is a public university located in University Park, Illinois, United States. It was founded in 1969. Governors State University has four colleges: the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of
Business and Public Administration, the College of Education, and the College of
Health and Human Services. Governors State University was officially established as a state-supported institution of higher
education in 1969. The University was opened with students in 1973 and released the first batch of students in 1971. Governors State University was one of universities that did not offer grades, but competencies. It is having interdisciplinary studies instead of departments, and all professors hold the rank of University Professor.
The first doctoral program was created in 2007 as a professional doctoral degree in Physical Therapy. Governors State University is having the colleges for Arts and Sciences,
Business and Public Administration, Education, and
