Medicine is the medical school of Dartmouth College. The Geisel School of
Medicine is headed by Duane Compton, as the Interim Dean where he is also the Senior Associate Dean for Research and a Professor of Biochemistry. The institute was founded in 1797 and is located in Hanover, New Hampshire, in the United States.
The school maintains a smaller student class size where individual attention is provided and opportunities are presented for collaboration with globally-renowned faculty. Currently 360 medical students, 340 masters and Phd students, along with 2,180 clinical and research faculty comprise the strength of the school.
