Food Animal Health Research Program, OARDC

It’s a research program or Ohio Agriculture Research and Development Centre which is a part of The Ohio State University which is located in Wooster, Ohio. Its mission is to enhance and protect animal and public health through their research outcome and to support the animal industries in providing safe food which is safe to both public and environment. Their research focus is on zoonotic diseases, which include their pathogens, epidemiology, their prevention and prophylaxis and even they even continue their efforts in microbial contamination of agriculture productivity and its sustainability, public health sector too. This center offer welcomes students in various under graduate, graduate and also research with the concerned field of interest in OARDC. Apart from these academic programs, this center also offers summer fellowships in various disciplines like laboratory tools and skills, vaccine development, viral genome characterization, reducing the contamination of water supplies used for livestock etc. many scientific conferences, meetings and training committees are organized which bring many expertise, researchers, students to a common platform where they can interact and share their work done so far and get benefits.
