The Experimental Station of arid zones (EEZA) is an Institute of the Council of scientific researches belonging to the Area of natural resources, created in 1947.
Its mission is to: Promoting the development of basic research as a vital engine of innovation and improvement of the
management of the natural and rural environment in extreme environments. Provide knowledge to solve ecological problems allowing to reconcile the interests arising from the preservation of the environment and their rational exploitation. Lead projects for reintroduction and conservation of several
species of African ungulates to ensure their final recovery in freedom.
