East West University is a private university located in Dhaka, Bangaldesh, established in the year 1996. The culture of private university started in Bangladesh in early 1990s , as the country meet to meet the demand for
education standards. East West University was started in the year 1996 as a non-profit organization. This university is the first project under the Progoti Foundation for
Education and Development (PFED) which is a non-profitable, non-political, charitable organization that was maintained solely by
business people, academic professionals under the leadership of Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, who is an economist and former governor of Bangladesh Bank.
